Atul Fabrication Works

You can find us at 4 Pravasi Industrial Estate A, over in Goregaon East. It's a crowded estate with lots of different businesses all working right next to each other. At Atul Fabrication Works, the noise of welding and grinding is something you just get used to after the first ten minutes. We’ve got a lot of metal scraps and sheets piled up near the entrance. The air inside always smells like burnt metal and sparks. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially when we have the welding machines running full tilt. We make all sorts of metal structures and gates, whatever people need for their buildings or shops. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we do, you just come onto the shop floor and look at what’s currently on the stands. The guys here have been doing fabrication for years, and they can weld almost anything together. Sometimes we get a big order that takes up all the floor space, and we have to shuffle things around just to move. Goregaon is always bustling, and the traffic outside the estate is usually a mess, but once you're inside, we're just focused on the metal. We use heavy hammers and old-school grinders because they don't break down. It’s a tough job but we like it well enough. We finish up when the sun goes down and do it all again the next day.
