Astvinayak Cab Services

We run our cab service out of a small spot in Chembur, near Acharya College. It is a good location because there are always students and teachers around, and we are not too far from the road that leads toward Surat. Most of our work involves keeping track of where the drivers are and making sure the cars are cleaned out after every trip. We have a few plastic chairs and a desk that has seen better days. The phone rings a lot, especially early in the morning when people are trying to catch flights or get to meetings on time. We keep a big board with all the driver names and their phone numbers scribbled on it. Sometimes a car breaks down or a driver gets stuck in traffic, and we have to scramble to find a replacement. It is a lot of stress, but we have been doing it long enough that we don't panic much anymore. We know the tea sellers near the college very well since that is where the drivers wait between jobs. We don't have a big corporate website or a fleet of fancy new cars, just reliable vehicles that get people where they need to go. We try to keep the prices fair and the schedules as tight as possible. It is just a matter of moving people from one point to another without too much fuss.
