Asian Metal Works

Asian Metal Works is tucked away in Kurla West at D-22. It’s a busy part of town, always something going on outside our doors. We’ve been handling metal stuff here for a long time. The shop gets a bit dusty and loud because of the machines, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't big on fancy talk or anything. We just show up, do the work, and go home. Kurla West can be a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here, but once you find D-22, you’ll see we’re just a regular workshop. We have some old machines and some newer ones, depending on what we need to get finished. The crew is mostly local guys who have been with us for a bit. We don't really have a front desk or anyone to answer phones all day. Usually, if the phone rings, someone just wipes their hands and picks it up. It’s a practical way of doing things, I guess. We deal with all sorts of metal pieces every week. Some are big, some are small, but they all get treated about the same. It’s sweaty work, especially in the summer months when the heat gets trapped inside. But we just keep at it. That’s how we’ve always done things here. We don't bother with much else besides the metal. It keeps us busy and the days go by pretty fast when there is a lot to do.
