Asia Steel

Asia Steel is located at 1/A Girgaon, specifically in the Sakarwala Building on 17th F Cross, 2nd Stage. If you know the area, it is quite a tight squeeze with all the traffic. Our shop is full of metal. There are steel rods, sheets, and pipes leaning against the walls. It is usually quite loud because of the cutting machines and the sound of metal clanging together. My clothes usually have some rust or grease on them by the time I head home. We don’t really do much advertising or have a big marketing team. People just know we are here in Girgaon when they need some steel for a project or a building. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the Sakarwala Building. We spend our time measuring things out and making sure the cuts are roughly where they need to be. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking on the cross road because it is so narrow. We just deal with it. It’s been this way for a long time. The floor is concrete and covered in tiny metal shavings. We sweep up, but you can never get them all. That is just how a steel yard is. We are just regular people working with heavy materials every day. This is Asia Steel.
