Ashapura Trading Co

Ashapura Trading Co is located at number 2, right near the Adarshbaug Hotel. We are in the Liingalahna Palya section of Kalbadevi. If you’ve ever walked around here, you know it’s a maze of small streets and old buildings. Our shop is small and filled to the ceiling with various goods. We don’t have much room to move around, but we manage. Being near the hotel is helpful because people use it as a landmark to find us. The area is always buzzing with traders and laborers moving things back and forth. It’s a very traditional market feel. We’ve been here for many years, and the shop has stayed pretty much the same. We have a couple of old wooden desks and a lot of ledgers. We don’t use computers for everything because the old ways still work fine for us. Sometimes it’s a bit dusty and the ventilation isn't the best, but we don't mind much. It’s just part of being in this part of the city. We know the other shopkeepers on our lane, and we often have tea together in the afternoons. It’s a very social place in its own way. We don't put on any acts for customers. We just show them what we have and tell them the price. It is a straightforward way of doing business that we’ve stuck with through all these years.
