Arvind Steel Fabricators

We started this little workshop in Vikhroli East some years ago. Being right here in Chokshi Bazar means there is always noise and people moving around outside our door. Most of what we do involves cutting, bending, and welding steel. We make things like window grills, basic gates, and frames for small shops nearby. It is not a fancy place by any means. There is usually iron dust on the floor and pieces of scrap metal piled up in the corners. People from the neighborhood just stop by when they have something broken that needs a quick weld or if they want a simple railing for their stairs. We use a few old machines and our hands to get the job done. Sometimes the steel prices go up and we have to explain that to the customers, which is always a bit difficult. We do not have a big office or a team of salesmen. It is just a few of us who know how to work with metal. The heat from the welding can be a lot during the summer months, but we just keep at it. We have seen many shops come and go in Vikhroli, but there is always a need for someone who can fix a gate or build a sturdy frame. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and start the machines. It is simple work, but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the local market.
