Arome

Arome is based in Badra. It’s a small place and we try to keep things simple here. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the atmosphere of the shop. We don’t have a massive sign or anything like that. Badra is a busy area, so there is always a lot of noise coming from the street outside, but inside we just focus on what we’re doing. We deal with various products that people use in their daily lives. The shelves are mostly full and sometimes we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit. It’s not a perfectly organized retail chain; it’s more of a local spot where things are kept where they fit. We’ve been in this location for a while now. The morning usually starts with us opening up the shutters and sweeping the front. We see the same faces walking by every day. It feels like a small community even though the city is so big. We don’t really have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is. The lighting inside is a bit dim sometimes, but we like it that way. It keeps the place cool during the summer months. People come in and out, some stay to chat for a minute, and others are in a hurry. We just keep the shop open and handle whatever comes our way. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it works for us.
