Our workshop is at B/136 in the Nand Jyoti Industrial Estate in Sakinaka. This part of Mumbai is always humming with work. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other small factories and workshops. We specialize in brushes, so our space is often filled with the smell of wood and synthetic fibers. There are machines for cutting and setting the bristles, and they make a fair amount of noise when they are running. The floor usually has a bit of sawdust or stray fibers on it, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come to see us, you’ll see the actual production happening right there. Sakinaka is a bit of a maze, but Nand Jyoti is a well-known spot among the locals. We spend our days managing the machines and checking the quality of the brushes coming off the line. It’s hard work and the summer months can get quite hot in the factory. We usually have the fans going full blast. Our team is a group of hard-working people who know how to handle the tools. We don't use big words or have a corporate strategy. We just make brushes and try to get them out to our customers on time. It’s a simple, honest business located in a busy industrial corner of the city.
