We’ve been at this spot in Charkop for quite some time now. You’ll find us over at 7/A in the Girikunj Industrial Estate, which is in Andheri East. We’re in the Ganesh Nagar area near the Paper Box landmark, so it’s not too hard to find if you know your way around. It gets pretty loud in here with the machines going all day, but that’s just how things are when you’re dealing with metal and fabrication work. We mostly focus on getting the specs right for whatever project comes through the door. Sometimes it’s small metal parts, other times it’s bigger structures that take up half the shop floor. People around this part of Mumbai know where to find us if they need something made to order. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there’s always something happening outside on the road with trucks and people moving about. Inside, we just stick to our tools and the work at hand. We aren't really the type to spend much time on fancy offices or clean desks. Most of our day is spent out on the shop floor checking on the welding or the cutting machines. We’ve seen Andheri change a lot over the years, with more buildings coming up and the traffic getting much heavier than it used to be. But our shop stays pretty much the same. We handle a variety of requests, usually just people bringing in a rough drawing. It’s honest work that keeps us occupied from morning until late.
