Arihant Metal Works

The shop is located right on the Panigate Main Road in Sakinaka. It’s a busy spot, and the traffic outside is constant from morning until late at night. We’ve got the shutters up early to get the air moving through the place before it gets too humid. There are always piles of metal pipes and flat sheets leaning against the walls. Some are rusted, some are shiny and new, depending on what we ordered that week. Working here means you’re always covered in a bit of grime. You can’t really help it when you’re cutting and grinding metal all day long. The sound of the saws is pretty loud, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the work that comes in. Sometimes a customer brings a rough sketch on a piece of cardboard, and we have to figure out how to make it work. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break. The floor is concrete and has plenty of cracks from dropping heavy tools over the years. It’s a practical space. We keep the tools on a rack we built ourselves. Every day is different, but the work stays the same. We just keep our heads down and finish the orders as they come.
