Ardeshir Jamshedji & Sons

We are based in the Tata Mills CHS building, unit 1/B-36, right on Elphinstone Road in Parel East. This area has changed so much over the years with all the new buildings going up, but we are still in our same little corner. The name on our door has been around for a long time. It’s a family-run kind of setup. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been here for years. Our office is a bit old-fashioned. We still use paper ledgers for some things and have a lot of old wooden filing cabinets. The walls could probably use some new paint, but we’re usually too busy to think about it. Outside, the road is always busy with traffic and people heading to the station. It gets quite noisy, but once the door is shut, it’s mostly just the sound of us working. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out letters. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or a modern lobby. If you visit, you’ll probably just see us sitting at our desks with piles of paperwork around. We know the people in the building and the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a very local way of doing things. We just come in every morning, do our work, and head home. It’s a simple, honest life in Parel, and we don't feel the need for anything more.
