Ansari Khan Steel

Our place, Ansari Khan Steel, is situated at 217 A on the ground floor. We are right in the middle of the Maulana Sh area, specifically near the Grant Road Book Market. If you know where Anjuman College is, we are just opposite that. It’s a very old part of the city, and it feels like it. The streets are narrow and always crowded with trucks and people carrying things. We deal with all sorts of steel items, mostly heavy stuff that gets moved in and out throughout the day. The shop floor is usually covered in dust and bits of metal, and there’s always the sound of things being loaded or unloaded. It’s hard work and it’s loud, but that’s the nature of the business. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the book market busy itself and the college students walking past. The building itself has seen better days, but it’s sturdy enough for what we need. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It’s just a warehouse and a small office area where we handle the bills. People come to us when they need specific steel pieces for construction or repair work. We know the other shop owners around here, and we all just try to get through the day's orders. It’s a gritty, busy spot, but it’s home for our business.
