Finding us at 23/4 in Rajendra Market can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to the narrow lanes around here. We are located on 3rd Panjarpole Lane, which is right near C.P. Tank. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the carts and people moving through. Ankur Metal Industries is right in the thick of it. We deal with all sorts of metal parts and pieces. It's a small space, so things tend to get stacked up pretty high. You have to watch your step when you walk in. Most of our day is spent talking to customers who come in from the street or taking calls from people looking for specific sizes. The noise from the traffic outside is constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. It’s a very local way of doing business. We know the other shop owners on the lane, and we often share tea in the afternoons. We aren't a big corporation with departments; it's just a few of us making sure orders get out. Sometimes the delivery trucks can't even get down the lane, so we have to carry stuff out to the main road. It's a lot of physical labor. We've been in this market for a long time and seen it change, but the work remains the same. It is just the way things go in this part of town.
