Anita Steel & Metals

We are over at Shop No. 2 in the Hira Building, right where Kethwadi Main Road meets Nanu Bhai Desai Road. It’s a busy corner. Anita Steel & Metals is a small shop, but we keep a lot of stock squeezed into the space we have. Kethwadi is always buzzing with activity, so there is never a dull moment. We deal with all sorts of steel and metal pieces. Usually, you’ll find one of us standing near the front, talking to a customer or helping someone load something onto a cart. The shop is a bit dark inside because of all the metal stacked up, but we know where everything is. It’s a very old-school way of doing business. We write things down in ledgers and remember faces. Nanu Bhai Desai Road can be a nightmare for traffic, but people still find their way to us. We’ve been in this building for quite some time. It’s not a modern showroom with glass windows. It’s just a shop floor with iron and steel everywhere. We handle the heavy lifting and the measurements. People come to us because we are right there on the street and we don't make things complicated. It’s just how we operate. No one here is trying to sell you something you don't need. We just provide the materials as they are. The floor is concrete and the air smells like iron. It is what it is.
