Our office is Plot No. 5b/132 in the Sanjay Building. This is inside the Mittal Industrial Estate on Andheri Kurla Road. Being in an industrial estate means it is always noisy with trucks and machines, but it makes sense for an import-export company. We are surrounded by other businesses doing similar things. The Sanjay Building is a busy place and there is always someone moving something in the hallways. Our space is filled with boxes and stacks of paper because that is just the nature of what we do. The air conditioning works most of the time, but when it doesn't, we just open the windows and deal with the heat. We have been here for a while and we know the security guards and the other tenants. It’s a lot of logistical work, coordinating with shipping agents and checking customs documents. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just us and our computers trying to make sure nothing gets stuck at the port. Sometimes the coffee machine breaks and we have to go out to the main road to get some. It is a busy life but it is what we know. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come. There is always a lot of dust from the road but you get used to it after a while.
