You can find us at Kumbharwada, Gate Number 19. The shop is actually on the second floor of the building in Patilnagar, at number 111. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially if we are moving things around, but that is just how the building is set up. We deal mostly in steel products and metal pieces. It’s a noisy neighborhood with a lot of metal work going on all around us. The air usually smells like iron and grease. Our floor is filled with different sections of steel, and we spend a lot of time measuring and cutting things to size. It’s heavy work, and our clothes usually get dirty pretty fast. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It is more like a warehouse where we keep our stock and do the actual work. Sometimes it gets quite hot under the roof during the afternoon, but we just keep going. People come to us when they need specific parts for construction or repairs. We know our way around the different grades of steel and what works for what. It’s a very practical business. We don’t talk much except for what is needed to get the job done right. Most of the time, we are just busy with the inventory or talking to the delivery guys. It’s a solid, honest way to make a living in a very busy part of the city. We just stay focused on the metal.
