Charni Road is always crowded, and that is where you will find us at Shop No 92/94. Shri Ram Kripa is an old building, and being near C P Tank means there is a constant flow of people and handcarts moving through the narrow lanes. At Anand Steel, we deal with a lot of heavy lifting. The stacks of steel take up most of the room in the shop. It is dusty work. We spend our mornings checking the stock and talking to the guys who bring the deliveries. The noise of metal clanging is something you just stop hearing after a few years. We sit at small desks surrounded by ledgers and samples. It is not a quiet place to work. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and that is the best part of the afternoon. We have been here long enough to know most of the neighbors. The traffic outside is a nightmare around five, but that is just how Charni Road is. We do not have any fancy displays. What you see is what we have. It is just a straightforward business where we focus on getting the right pieces out to the people who need them. Most of our day is spent on the phone or measuring things out for customers who walk in from the tank area. It is cramped and busy, but we get the job done every day without much fuss. There is always a lot to move.
