Ameya Electro Platers

We run our plating shop over in Malad West. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of small workshops just like ours. The air always has that faint metallic smell because of the tanks we use for the plating process. It’s heavy work, moving metal parts in and out of the solutions and making sure the finish comes out right. We don't have a fancy storefront; it’s mostly just the workshop floor with the equipment and the cooling fans running all day. The floors are usually a bit wet, and we all wear heavy boots and aprons to stay dry and safe. We’ve been doing this for quite a while now, so we’ve seen all sorts of items come through the door for coating. Some days are slower than others, but usually, there’s a backlog of pieces waiting to be dipped. We don’t really do any marketing; we just rely on the fact that people in the area know we’re here. It’s a hot and noisy environment, especially during the summer months when the ventilation isn't quite enough. We just focus on the job at hand and try to get the orders ready for when the customers come to pick them up. It’s not pretty work, but it’s what we know how to do. The workshop is a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is and how it works.
