The building itself has that old character, and being on the second floor means we are a little bit removed from the noise of the street level, but only just. Bhuleshwar is always crowded with shoppers and vendors, so getting to us involves navigating through a lot of people and carts. Inside, we have our steel items arranged as best as we can. It’s a practical space. We don’t have air conditioning or fancy carpets, just the metal and the work that needs doing. Most of our time is spent checking the stock and helping people who know exactly what they are looking for. The Black Stone Building is a well-known landmark in this area, so folks usually find their way eventually. We’ve been here for years, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit, but the hustle and bustle stays the same. It’s a lot of hard work being in this trade, and the days can be long, especially when it’s hot outside. But we just keep at it, one day at a time. We don't make a big deal of things; we just open the shop, do the work, and go home when the sun sets. It’s a lot of metal and hard work, and that’s plenty for us.
