Ambica Cargo Forwarders is over in Ballard Estate, specifically at Sethi Mansion on Kumtha Street. It is an old building, second floor, Room 14. This part of Mumbai has that old architectural feel to it, which is nice but it also means the streets are narrow and parking is a nightmare. We spend our days forwarding cargo, which mostly means a lot of paperwork and talking to different transport companies. It is the kind of place where files are stacked up on desks and there is always a tea guy coming around. We have been operating from this room for a long time. The street outside is usually full of people and small trucks moving stuff around. Cargo forwarding is all about the timing, so we are always looking at the clock and the ship schedules. We handle a lot of different types of goods, and every day brings a different set of problems to solve, like a shipment being delayed or a document missing a stamp. It is a small team here, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing department, we just focus on getting the crates and boxes to where they need to go. It is honest work and it keeps us on our toes throughout the week, even on Saturdays when things are supposed to be slow but usually end up being just as busy as the rest.
