Amar Jyoty Metal Works

Amar Jyoty Metal Works is located at 83 Kalbadevi, right in the Abhishek Textile Market. It might seem a bit odd to have a metal works shop in a textile market, but Kalbadevi is a mix of everything. The streets are always packed with carts and people carrying big bundles of cloth. Our shop is a bit of a contrast to the colorful fabrics around us. We deal with metal fabrication and small industrial parts. The space is practical, filled with the tools of the trade and various metal scraps. It’s a noisy place to work because of the surrounding market and our own machines. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and have seen many shops come and go. Most of our day is spent at the workbench or talking to people who drop by with something that needs fixing or making. There’s no polished showroom here. It’s just a workspace where things actually get made. The heat in the market can be intense, especially with the machines running, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big corporate structure; it's just a few of us doing the work. We handle the orders as they come in and try to keep up with the fast pace of the Kalbadevi area. It’s a busy, gritty, and very real place to do business every day. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the whole lane and we have to wait to move our finished pieces out, but that's just part of being in this market.
