Allure Export

Our office and workshop are at 45/46 in the Aditya Industrial Estate. It’s on Chincholi Bunder Road, just off the Link Road in Malad West. Being in an industrial estate means there’s always something going on, whether it’s trucks blocking the way or people moving pallets of goods. We are on one of the floors where the lift is sometimes a bit temperamental, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. Inside, it’s a lot of rows of tables and people busy with their work. We do a lot of packing and checking before things get sent out for export. There’s bubble wrap and tape dispensers all over the place. The lighting is those bright fluorescent tubes that hum a little bit if you listen closely. It’s not the most glamorous place, but it’s where we get the job done. We have a small corner for tea and snacks, which is where everyone gathers around four o'clock. The walls are painted a dull color and have some scuff marks from moving boxes around. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the inventory stacked up, but we managed to find a system that works for us. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily list of tasks. Malad is a busy area, so getting home in the evening can take a while.
