Alika Steel

Reay Road is a busy place, especially around Darukhana. Our spot is at 214 Kolsa Bunder, right in the thick of it. Alika Steel has been part of this landscape for quite some time now. If you walk around here, you’ll smell the salt from the water and the old metal from the yards. It’s a gritty part of town, but it’s where we belong. Our daily routine involves a lot of lifting and sorting. The ground is uneven, and the warehouses are old, but they serve their purpose. We deal with a lot of different people, from truck drivers to small-time builders. Everyone is usually in a hurry. We don't have a quiet office; there is always the sound of hammers or heavy engines in the background. Our staff is used to the grime and the hard work. We keep things pretty simple. No one wears a tie here. We are more concerned with getting the weight right on the scales than we are with how the office looks. Sometimes the monsoon rains flood the lanes around here, and we have to scramble to keep everything dry. It is just another thing we deal with. We’ve been at Kolsa Bunder long enough to know the history of almost every building on the street, and we plan to stay here for many more years.
