Ali Hardware

We have been running Ali Hardware for quite some time now over at Shop No 10 in the Kanji Khetsi Building. It is right in the Fort area, near the General Post Office, so it stays pretty busy around here most days. People stop by when they need a specific bolt or maybe just some basic tools for a repair at home. The shop isn't fancy at all. There are boxes stacked up everywhere and it gets a bit crowded behind the counter when we have a few deliveries arriving at once. Being near Kalapurnam means there is always noise from the street outside with people walking and cars honking. We spend most of the morning just sorting through the stock and making sure things are where they belong on the shelves. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit in the back room, but we know our way around the place well enough. It is just a regular place where we sell what people need for their building work. Most of the folks who come in are regulars from the neighborhood who have been coming for years. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the usual door that stays open all day long. If you are walking past the post office, you will probably see us standing there. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping the shelves filled up. We don’t do much else besides staying open and helping whoever walks through the door. It keeps us occupied.
