Alankar Kala Kendra

Our place is located at 50, Khadilkar Road, right near the Cawasji Patel Tank area in Mumbai. It is one of those older parts of the city where the streets are a bit narrow and there is always something happening outside the door. We have been in this spot for a long time. The shop itself has that old Mumbai feel to it. It isn't very modern, but it works for what we do. We have things stacked up and sometimes it looks a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept. People come to us from all over the neighborhood. Sometimes they are looking for something specific for a ceremony or just something for the house. The weather in Mumbai can be tough on the building, so there is always a bit of maintenance to do. We just keep going. It is a family-run kind of thing, so you will see the same people behind the counter every day. We don't use any big marketing tricks. People find us because they have been coming here for years or someone told them about us. It gets quite loud with the traffic and the people passing by outside, but inside we just focus on the customers. Working in such an old area of Mumbai has its challenges, but we like it here. It is our daily routine and we are used to the pace of Khadilkar Road.
