Akshar Optical

Our shop is over at A/16 Ebrahim Rahimtoola Road, not too far from the Madan Mohan Silk Compound. We have been here for a good while now, watching the traffic go by on Neeladri Nagar Road every day. It’s a simple place where we spend our time fixing frames and helping people see a bit better. The shop isn't huge, but we have enough room for all the testing equipment and the drawers full of different lenses. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, so we are always wiping down the glass counters. It can get pretty noisy outside with all the honking, but we are used to it by now. We usually have a cup of tea in the morning and start going through the orders. People from the neighborhood stop in to chat or get their glasses tightened when the screws come loose. We don't do anything fancy here, just the regular work of an optical shop. The sign outside has seen better days, but everyone knows where we are. We try to keep things honest and straightforward with everyone who walks through the door. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping the place running. We like being part of this area and seeing the same faces year after year. If you are near the silk compound, you will see our door is almost always open for the breeze. It is just a regular life for us here.
