We are located at 132 in the Great Western Building. This is right opposite the Lion Gate on Sahid Bhagat Singh Road. It is an old building with a lot of history, and you can feel it in the thick walls and the high ceilings. Being near the gate means there is always something happening outside, usually lots of cars and people walking towards the docks or the offices nearby. Our space inside is a bit of a mix of old furniture and some newer things we had to get. It’s not a very large area, but it fits us well enough for what we do. Sometimes the windows get a bit rattlesome when the heavy vehicles pass by on the main road. We don't really have a big reception area, so when someone walks in, they are pretty much right in the middle of where we work. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to cover the street noise. The walk to the building from the station is okay, though it gets very hot in the afternoons. Most of us bring lunch from home and eat together at the big table in the back. It’s a practical setup that works for our daily routine. We’ve been here long enough that the security guards downstairs know us all by name. It is just our regular base of operations.
