Ajanta Steels

We are located at 31 C.P. Tank Road. This is a very busy part of the city, and our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We deal in steel, mostly selling different types of metal to whoever walks in or calls us up. The building is older, and we’ve squeezed as much as we can into the space we have. There are stacks of steel rods and sheets everywhere you look. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. You’ll usually find a few of us standing around the front, talking to customers or trying to coordinate a delivery on a small truck that can actually fit through the narrow streets around here. Traffic is always a problem, so we spend a lot of time apologizing for delays. We don't have a website; we just rely on people knowing we've been here for years. It's a loud and dusty environment, especially when we have to cut something to size. We aren't doing any high-tech engineering, just selling metal and making sure people get what they paid for. Most of our customers are local builders or small workshop owners. We know many of them by name because they've been coming to us for a long time. It’s just a simple, old-fashioned business running out of a crowded street. We focus on the daily tasks and keeping the inventory moving.
