Air-Channel Travels

We are tucked away in Parekh Market, at number 225, near Kennedy Bridge. It’s a busy spot in the Opera House area. The office is small and filled with travel brochures, old maps, and notebooks. There are usually three or four of us sitting around desks that are covered in sticky notes. The phone rings a lot. People call wanting to know about flights or trains or just asking for advice on where to go. Air-Channel Travels has been in this market for quite a while. We know the other shop owners and often share a cup of tea when things quiet down in the late afternoon. The building is a bit of a labyrinth, and first-time visitors sometimes get lost looking for us. We have a couple of old ceiling fans that hum loudly, which helps drown out the noise from the street outside. We don't have a fancy lounge for customers. They usually just sit on the chairs across from our desks while we look things up on the computer. Sometimes the systems are slow, so we chat about our own families or trips we’ve taken. It’s a personal way to do things. We like being in the heart of Opera House because there is so much energy around. Even if it gets hectic, we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It’s just how we like to work.
