Advocate, Labour Consultant

This is the office for the Advocate and Labour Consultant located on G. D. Ambekar Marg in Mumbai. Specifically, we are at 17/7 in the Western India Mills Chawl. It is a very old-fashioned part of the city, and the chawl has that traditional Mumbai feel to it. It is not a modern office building with elevators and air conditioning everywhere. It is a simple, humble space where we handle legal matters and labour issues. The atmosphere on the street is always busy, with people going to work and vendors selling things. Inside, it is a bit more focused, but you can still hear the city outside. We have books and files everywhere because that is just the nature of legal work. We don’t go for any of that high-end corporate look. It is just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of paperwork. We have been here for quite some time, and people in the labour community know where to find us. It is a place where real problems get discussed and we try to give honest advice. We just work through the files one by one. It is a bit cramped sometimes, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do every day.
