Advance Steel Age

We are located at Office No 3 on 26 Durgadevi Street in Girgaon. It’s right near the Sant Tukaram Nagar area and just opposite the Durgadevi Temple. Being across from the temple means we hear the bells and the crowds every single day, which is actually quite nice for the atmosphere. The office is small, situated in the Gol Market vicinity, so it’s a very traditional part of the city. We work with steel, mostly handling the sales and the logistics of getting material to different sites around Mumbai. It’s a bit of an old building, and the walls are thick enough to keep some of the heat out. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of papers related to the steel trade. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. People who know the street know where to find us. Durgadevi Street is narrow and can get very congested, so we usually see a lot of foot traffic right outside our window. We spend our days talking to contractors and checking on deliveries that are supposed to arrive. It’s a steady kind of work that doesn't change much from year to year. The fan hums on the ceiling, and we just go through our tasks one by one. It’s a very local way of doing business, and being in the heart of Girgaon makes us feel like we are part of the old Mumbai pulse.
