The Aditya Birla Centre For Performing Arts & Research is tucked away at 38 Chowpatty in the Girgaon area. It’s quite a spot to be in, especially being so close to Adarshnagar and the Babulnath Temple. You can usually hear the city noise outside, but once you’re inside, things feel a bit different. We spend our days surrounded by all kinds of scripts, research papers, and people practicing their craft. It’s not always quiet here; there’s usually some music playing or someone rehearsing a scene in one of the rooms. The building has its own character, maybe a bit old-fashioned in some corners, but that adds to the vibe. We don’t really do the whole corporate office thing. It’s more about the work being done on the stage or in the research files. Sometimes the hallways are a bit cluttered with props or old costumes, but we know where everything is. People come from all over to see what’s happening here. We spend a lot of time just organizing schedules and making sure the lights work. It’s a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that people don't always see. The proximity to the temple means we get a lot of foot traffic nearby. It’s a busy part of town, but we’ve made our little space here work for us over the years. We just focus on the arts and keeping things running day to day.
