We’ve got our shop set up at number fifty on the Bannerghatta Road in Girgaon, right near the Goldeval Mandir. It’s a well-known landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. Inside, it’s mostly just metal—different sheets, rods, and scraps piled up against the walls. We spend our time weighing materials, cutting pieces to size, and loading them onto trucks or carts. It’s heavy work, and the sound of metal clanging against metal is something we hear all day long. The floor is concrete and usually has a bit of metal dust on it. We aren't trying to be anything more than a local metal dealer. People come to us when they need specific materials for a project or if they have scrap they want to get rid of. We use old-fashioned scales and write a lot of our notes down by hand. The proximity to the temple means it’s a busy street, especially on certain days of the week, so we have to work around the crowds. It gets a bit cramped in here when a big shipment arrives, but we manage to squeeze everything in. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person; we just rely on the people who walk through the door. It’s a straightforward business where what you see is what you get, and we’re fine with that.
