Activity High School

We are over on N. Gamadia Road, which is just off Peddar Road in South Mumbai. Our building is Sahny Villa, and it’s got that old-school feel that you don't find much in the newer parts of the city. The road outside is a bit narrow, so things can get a little tight when everyone is arriving at once. Inside the villa, the rooms aren't huge, but they fit what we need for the day. We have the usual collection of old wooden desks and some newer chairs mixed in. The staff spends a lot of time moving around the different levels, and since it’s an older structure, you have to be careful with the stairs sometimes. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a place where people come to learn and work every day. You can hear the city hum in the background, but mostly it’s just the sound of pens scratching on paper and people talking in the halls. Some of the windows don't open as easily as they used to, and we’ve had to paint the walls a few times to keep them looking okay. We don’t have fancy receptionists or big marble lobbies. It’s just us in a regular building, trying to stay organized and make sure the schedule doesn't fall apart. It’s a busy life here near Peddar Road, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. We take the mail in, check the locks at night, and start all over again the next morning.
