We’ve been up here on the 4th floor of Jhaveri House for a good while now. If you know Abdul Rehman Street, you know how it gets during the day. It's crowded, loud, and there is always someone moving a crate or shouting for space. Getting up those stairs can be a bit of a workout, especially when the weather is humid, but we're used to it. The office isn't anything fancy, just a lot of desks, some old files, and the sound of the fans humming. We spend most of our time dealing with orders and talking to people who come by looking for specific items. It’s a lot of back and forth. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the phone lines go fuzzy, but that’s just how things are in this part of town. We’ve seen many shops change hands around us, but we stay put. It's a small crew here. Most of us have been working together so long we don't even need to say much to know what needs doing. We eat lunch together when there's a quiet moment, usually just something brought from home. It's not a corporate life, it's just a job that we do every day. People find us because they know the address and they know we've been around. We don't really do much to stand out, we just open the doors in the morning and get to work. It’s simple enough.
