Abdul Waheedkhan

My name is Abdul Waheedkhan. I work from 11, Akashdeep, which is in the T.P.S. VI area on 1st Road. Most people know the landmark around here as the Milan Subway in Santacruz West. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai, especially with the subway traffic. I’ve been in this building for quite a while now. My setup isn't anything like the big companies you see in the papers. It’s just me and a little bit of space where I can get my work done. I started this because I wanted to be my own boss. Santacruz is a great place to be, even if it gets a bit noisy with the cars and the trains nearby. I don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. I just rely on people knowing my name and where to find me. If you come by the Milan Subway, you’re just a short walk away from my door. I keep my daily schedule pretty simple. I wake up, deal with the paperwork, and talk to whoever needs my help. Sometimes I make mistakes with the filing, but I always fix them. It’s just part of being a real person running a local business. I’ve seen this neighborhood change a lot over the years, but I’m still here doing the same honest work. I don't try to sound like someone I'm not and I don't use fancy titles.
