Our office is right on Abdul Rehman Street at number 296. We are on the first floor. If you know this street, you know it’s one of the busiest places you could ever find. There are people selling everything under the sun, and the noise of the traffic and the crowds is something you just have to live with. Our building is old, and the stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep. Inside, we’ve got our desks and a lot of samples scattered around. We’ve been here for a long time, so we don't really notice the chaos outside anymore. It’s just the background to our daily work. We spend our mornings sorting through mail and our afternoons making sure orders are being filled correctly. It’s a lot of talking to people face-to-face since so many folks stop by. We don't have a fancy website or any of that, just the work we do right here in this room. The ceiling fans have been spinning for years and they still do the job. We keep a ledger for the important stuff and try to stay on top of the paperwork as it comes in. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, but it’s how things have always worked for us on Abdul Rehman Street. It’s busy, loud, and exactly where we belong.
