We are tucked away in Ghatla Village in Mumbai. The company name is a bit of a mouthful, Abc Consultants As Associate In Consultancy And Financial Servic, but everyone around here just knows we handle the paperwork. Being in a village area like Ghatla means things feel a bit different than the high-rise offices in the city center. It’s a bit more crowded on the streets and you can hear the local life going on right outside the window. We’ve got a small office space that’s mostly filled with stacks of folders and some old computers that still work well enough. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here, but the locals can usually point you toward us. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We handle all sorts of consultancy and financial things, mostly just helping people sort out their files. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so the windows are usually open to catch whatever breeze comes through the alleyway. There isn't much in the way of decoration, just the basics. We don't see the point in fancy furniture when the old stuff is still holding up. People come in, sit down for a bit, we talk about what needs doing, and that’s about it. It’s a straightforward way to run a business in this part of Mumbai. It's busy and loud, but it's where we work.
