You can find A.B. Tools tucked away in the Govt. Indl. Estate at Sahyadri Nagar. We are right behind the Bank of Baroda in Charkop, which is a handy landmark for anyone trying to find us for the first time. Kandivli West is a busy hub for small shops like ours. The workshop is usually noisy because there is always some machine running or someone banging on metal. It smells like oil and iron in here, which is something you just stop noticing after a few days on the job. We have our benches set up at 112/C and everyone has their own space to work. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as metal shavings tend to get everywhere no matter how much we sweep. We make various tools and parts that people need for their own projects or businesses. Most of us wear overalls that have seen better days. We don't really have a big sign out front, just the unit number and the name painted on the door. When it rains, the roof makes a lot of noise, and we sometimes have to move the parts away from the windows. It’s a practical workspace for people who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We keep our coffee mugs near the back where it’s a bit quieter. People stop by to pick up orders or just to ask if we can fix something small for them. Usually, we are here until late evening making sure everything is done.
