Aarkay Power Systmes Pvt Ltd is right at Panch Rasta on Devi Dayal Road in Mulund West. We are at number 23, and you can’t really miss it because there are usually some heavy batteries sitting near the entrance. The shop is full of power systems and backup equipment because that is what we deal with every day. It is often quite hot inside because of all the electrical stuff running, so we keep the door open to get some air from the street. The traffic at the Panch Rasta intersection is always a mess, so there is a constant sound of horns in the background while we work. We spend a lot of time checking voltage and making sure the units are charging right. It is heavy work, moving those big power blocks around, and our backs usually ache by the end of the week. We don't have a big corporate office; it is just a functional space where we keep our tools and our stock. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we just get on with the tasks without needing to talk much. Sometimes we have to go out to people's houses to set things up, which is a nice break from being in the shop all day. We just want to make sure the lights stay on for people when the main power fails. That is why we are here.
