Aamna Store

Aamna Store is a small place located at 1, 17/A in the Mumbai Central area. Being near the main station means there is never a dull moment. You get all sorts of people passing through, from travelers with heavy bags to locals just grabbing something on their way home. The shop is quite compact, so we have to use every inch of shelf space we have. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun is directly overhead, but we have a small fan that helps keep the air moving. We sell a bit of everything, the usual stuff people need daily. It isn't a supermarket, just a regular corner store where we know a lot of the customers by name. We spend most of the day behind the counter, chatting or organizing the stock. Sometimes the deliveries arrive all at once, and the floor gets covered in boxes for an hour or two. We don't have a fancy logo or a big sign. Most people just know us because we’ve been here at this address for a long time. It’s a lot of standing and moving things around, but it keeps us active. Mumbai Central is a busy place to be, but we’ve found our own little rhythm here. We just keep things simple and try to be helpful when someone is looking for something specific. Sometimes the weather gets really humid, but we just keep the door open and keep going.
