Aalco

We’re located at 105, Ajit Chambers, right on A.K. Road near Safed Pool in Andheri East. If you know Mumbai, you know this area is always moving and always loud. Aalco is just one of many small units in this complex. The building is a bit gray and the elevator is slow, so most of us just take the stairs. Our space is functional, nothing more. We have shelves of metal parts and components stacked up. The noise from the road never really stops, so we just talk louder to be heard. We spend a lot of time on the phone with transporters and checking on arrivals. It’s a bit of a gritty place, with grease on the doorknobs and a bit of dust on the windows. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or comfortable sofas for guests. Usually, people just stand by the counter while we look up their orders. Andheri is a tough place to work because of the humidity and the traffic, but it’s where all the action is. We’ve been here long enough to know all the short cuts around Safed Pool. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a sleek office. We just want to make sure the parts get where they need to go on time. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. Sometimes the power cuts out, but we just wait it out.
