Aakar Impex

We are located at No. 103 in Loha Bhavan, which is on P. Dmello Road down in the Carnac Bunder area. It is a very busy part of the city, especially with all the trucks and heavy vehicles moving toward the docks all day long. Aakar Impex has been operating out of this same office for a long time now. The building, Loha Bhavan, has a lot of history to it, and you can feel that when you walk through the heavy front doors. Our office is on the first floor, which is convenient because we do not have to wait for the lift. The space is filled with old metal filing cabinets and heavy wooden desks that have been here since we started. There is always a layer of dust that comes in from the street traffic, no matter how much we clean, but that is just life near the port. We do not have any flashy signs or modern decor. It is a practical workplace where we handle our trade and keep track of our shipments. Most of the people working here have been with us for decades, so we are more like a family than a company. We drink a lot of tea and spend our hours talking to vendors and making sure the paperwork is in order. It is a gritty, hardworking environment, but it suits the kind of work we do. We just keep our heads down and work.
