Aakar Arts

Aakar Arts is located over in Tilak Nagar, in apartment D-302. It’s a bit different because we aren't in a typical commercial building. It feels more like a home that turned into a workspace over time. You’ll find sketches, canvases, and art supplies tucked into every available corner. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are in here working at once. We do all sorts of creative work and art projects. It’s definitely not a clean or polished environment; there are usually paint stains on the floor and scraps of paper everywhere. We like it that way because it feels like a place where things actually get made. We don't have fancy business cards or a big sign outside. Most people who come to us are neighbors or people who have heard about us through word of mouth. We spend a lot of time just trying out new ideas and seeing what works. Sometimes a project doesn't turn out right and we have to start over, but that’s just part of the process. We don't use any of that flowery language about art; we just enjoy the work and the people we do it for. It’s a quiet life here in Tilak Nagar, and we’re quite happy with our little studio and the mess we make every day. Our cat often sleeps on the window sill while we work.
