Our spot is over in Chembur Colony, tucked into T-34/8 in the Old Barrack section. Being right near National Sarvodya High School means we hear the bell ring all through the day and the kids making a racket during their lunch breaks. It’s a bit of a maze back here in the barracks, but we’ve been in this space long enough that the walls feel like home. The office isn't anything special to look at. We have some old wooden desks and a few filing cabinets that have seen better days. You might find a stack of newspapers in the corner or a half-empty box of biscuits on the table. It gets a little cramped when more than a couple of people are inside at once, especially with all the paperwork we keep around. Most of the time, the fan is just whirring overhead while we get through the day's tasks. We don't really go in for fancy signs or bright lights. Usually, someone is sitting by the window watching the street or catching up on the local news. The neighbors are mostly folks who have been around for years too. We share a bit of gossip over the wall sometimes when things are slow. It is just a regular place where we show up, do what needs doing, and then head home when the sun goes down. It suits us just fine.
