If you ever walk through the Nav Vivek Industrial Estate in Bhandup West, you will likely find us working away at Madina Estate. It is usually pretty loud around here with the sounds of heavy metal being moved and trucks backing into the yard. We have been running A Q Chowdhary Steel Corporation from this specific spot for quite a while now. Most days it is just us managing the inventory and making sure the steel gets to where it needs to go without too much trouble. Steel is heavy and messy, so our hands are usually covered in dust or grease by the time noon rolls around. It is not a fancy office with air conditioning or soft chairs. We spend a lot of our time on the phone coordinating with people or checking the tall stacks of metal out in the yard. Sometimes the monsoon makes things difficult when the ground gets slippery and the rain hammers down on the roof, but we just keep at it. People from around the area know where to find us. We do not really do much fancy talk here. If someone needs a specific type of steel or just wants to check what we have in stock, they usually just walk right in. The traffic in Bhandup can be a real pain during the peak hours, so we try to get most of our loading done early in the morning. It is just how things work in this part of town. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners in the estate pretty well. It is a busy life but it keeps us on our toes every single day.
