A M Jain & Company

A M Jain & Company is based in Malhotra Chambers in units 31 and 33. This is an old building on D N Road in the Fort area of Mumbai. It has those very high ceilings and thick walls that you don't see much in new buildings. We are located in the Police Court Lane, which is right near Handloom House. The whole area has a lot of history and it is always crowded with people. You can hear the taxis honking and the crowds on the sidewalk from our office windows. The space is a bit of a maze with all the shelves and stacks of documents everywhere. We have been here long enough that we don't really notice the peeling paint in the corners anymore. It is a professional space but it definitely feels lived-in. We don’t have any of those modern open-plan setups. It is just rooms filled with desks and people working hard. Getting up to the third floor can be a bit of a trek if the lift is acting up, which happens every now and then. We are right in the heart of the business district, so there is always a sense of hurry right outside our door. Inside, we just focus on the folders and the work in front of us. It is not a flashy place. Most people find us because they were told exactly where to go.
