Saki Naka in Andheri East is where we work. It’s one of the busiest places you can find in the city. Our office is in Usmania Market, which is inside the Gilbert Compound. You have to go down Durga Mandir Lane to find us on Kherani Road. It’s a very crowded area, and the noise from the street is something you just get used to after a few days. We’ve got a small space at 6B. It’s not a high-rise office with a big view. It’s a humble spot where we do our daily work. There are always people moving around the market outside, and the smell of street food is usually in the air. We spend our days handling various bits of paperwork and meeting with people who stop by the office to talk. The lane is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze if a vehicle is trying to pass. Inside, we have our desks and filing cabinets. It’s a bit cramped when there are more than three people in the room, but we make it work somehow. We’ve been part of this community for some time now. It’s a lot of routine stuff, checking documents and making calls. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. People mostly find us through word of mouth or by just walking through the market. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real place to work.
