It is a noisy place because we are always cutting metal, welding parts together, or hammering something into shape on the floor. There are sparks flying quite often and the smell of hot iron is always in the air around the shop. We have all our machines and tools spread out across the shop floor in a way that makes sense to us. It is not the cleanest place because of the nature of the work, with metal scraps and dust everywhere. We make things like gates, window grills, and other iron structures that people need for their homes or shops. Andheri East is a very industrial and busy area, so we fit right in with all the other workshops on this street. Most of our customers are from the local buildings or small contractors who need some steel work done quickly. We don't have a fancy office for meetings. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to shout over the sound of the grinders or wait for a break. We just wear our work clothes and get grease on our hands every day. It is honest labor and we take pride in finishing the pieces so they are sturdy and last a long time. The Sai Darshan building is easy to find, and we are usually there.
