Our place is located in Vikhroli East, tucked away behind building number 77. We are near the old police station and not too far from the Express Highway. It’s a busy, noisy part of the city, but it’s where we do our work for Siddhchintamani Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are a small team trying to manage the link between the farmers and the market. The office is pretty basic. We’ve got a couple of old desks and some filing cabinets that are starting to overflow. There’s always the sound of cars and trucks from the highway, but you stop noticing it after a while. We aren't some big, fancy firm with a lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We spend our days talking to farmers from outside the city and trying to figure out the best way to move their produce. It’s a lot of phone calls and scribbling notes on scraps of paper. Sometimes things get a bit messy, and we have to spend the whole day just cleaning up the records. We don't have any promotional talk to give you. We are just a local business trying to make things work in a tough environment. It’s not always easy, but we keep showing up every day and doing what needs to be done. We stay focused on the task at hand.
